Active Learning has worked with, and for, a wide range of organisations, schools and setting on the Design and Development of Outdoor Space, school grounds and play facilities. Active Learning works in line with the Government’s Manifesto for Learning Outside the Classroom, and the Foundation Stage curriculum, and also in line with the guidelines described by Play England.
Active Learning, in partnership with Learning Through Landscapes, Grounds for Learning, the Scottish School Grounds Charity, and local education authorities, delivers a range of Continuing Professional Development courses designed to support teachers and other professionals in learning outdoors and the use and maintenance of outdoor learning spaces.
All my courses are experiential in nature, and combine elements of outdoor and environmental education with activities to develop leadership and reflective awareness.
